Sri Lanka reporting increased rate in Covid deaths – WHO
The World Health Organization (WHO) says Covid 19 deaths in three countries, including Sri Lanka, had risen by 15% by the end of August.
This was mentioned in the report released by the WHO this week. The report highlights that the number of COVID-19 deaths in the South Asian region has dropped.
According to the report, while the number of deaths in South Asia has declined, the number of deaths in Sri Lanka has increased by 19%, while the deaths in Timor Leste and India have risen by 32% and 17% respectively.
