36 New Covid 19 cases
The 36 new infected are among people stationed at the Chilean research base. It includes 26 members of the Chilean army and 10 maintenance workers.
The 36 individuals who tested positive evacuated to the city of Punta Arenas in Chile.
Spanish-language media reported that the outbreak at the General Bernardo O’Higgins Riquelme research base on Monday.
